As a result, he gives readers a more elaborate version of Norse mythology that at times reveals his Christian influence. The myths of Gylfaginning are presented as a series of fables (dmisgur) and a number of kennings from Skldskaparml are listed alphabetically by subject. However, experts agree that he did add many of his own details. In an effort to create an encyclopedic edition of Snorri Sturluson's Edda, the Laufs-Edda is a heavily redacted version of the text. After all, mythology is storytelling at its finest. Some researchers believe Snorri based it largely on folkloric oral traditions that he may have heard, while others think he used an elder written Edda.
